The first masterpiece of Jiro Horikoshi, Mitsubishi A5M, Navy Type Fighter 96. It was the world’s first monoplane fighter to operate from an aircraft carrier. This kit is the late version of A5M2 which was the first Japanese Carrier based fighter with a closed canopy. Surprisingly pilots did not like the closed canopy and requested for it be removed.
