Ki-43 entered service with the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force with designated name ‘Type 1’ Fighter “Hayabusa” in late 1941. It served until the end of World War II in the Imperial Japanse Army and one foreign state the Manchukuo Empire. Manchukuo was a Japanese puppet state created in 1931 after the Mukden incident, it was fully controlled and armed by the Japanese Empire.
