The Blue Angels are an aerobatic team organized by the U.S. Navy in 1946. They have a rivalry with the U.S. Air Force’s aerobatic team, the Thunderbirds, and together they captivate aviation fans around the world. The F-4J was used by the Blue Angels from the 1969 to 1974 seasons, and in the fall of 1971, they conducted a Far East tour to commemorate their 25th anniversary, performing a demonstration at Komaki Air Base in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
The kit includes pilot figures and an aircraft missile set to replicate the dummy Sparrow missiles equipped as smoke oil tanks.
