JASDF F-2B Fighter “VEER GUARDIAN2023”

During the “VEER GUARDIAN 2023” joint exercise between the JASDF and the Indian Air Force, special markings were applied to one F-2B from the 3rd Wing. This kit includes original decals to recreate the F-2B (No. 23-8111), a two-seat type that flew with the Commander of the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command in the rear seat when he visited Japan. The JASDF F-2B is a two-seat variant of the F-2A, also developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). It is a variant of the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon and was first introduced in 2000. The F-2B is designed for air-to-air and air-to-ground missions and is equipped with advanced avionics and weapons systems. It has a maximum speed of Mach 2 and a range of over 2,000 kilometers. A total of 20 F-2B aircraft were built for the JASDF, with production ending in 2011. The aircraft is currently in service and is planned to be retired in the 2030s. The aircraft is designed to be used as a trainer aircraft and also as a fighter aircraft.
