U.S. Air Force F-4D Fighter “Night Attacker”

124,00  exc. Vat

Of the 825 F-4Ds produced by the U.S. Air Force, 71 were retrofitted with the Loran-D antenna (AN/ARN-92) and operated as “pathfinders” to guide fighter-bomber squadrons while receiving signals from tactical navigation signal stations on the ground. These aircraft were also painted black on the underside of the aircraft as night fighter-bombers (night attackers), and were active in the “linebacker” operation at the end of the Vietnam War. Loran-D antennas are often called “towel hangers” by military aircraft fans at home and abroad. The kit precisely reproduces the Loran-D antenna with plastic parts. Limited edition.
